My name is Amy B. Moreno

I write poetry and fiction for adults and children, in English, Spanish, and Scots, including my bilingual picture book, A Billion Balloons of Questions (Floris Books, 2022).

My poetry and short stories have been published in various journals and magazines, including Mslexia, Driech, Speculative Books, and Open Book.

I deliver trauma-skilled workshops (usually around the Central Belt in Scotland) on creative writing for wellbeing, poetry, shared reading, and storybook making. These sessions are tailored to fit each group - children, young people, and adults.

I have a background in project work with different individuals and groups in areas of homelessness, substance use, domestic abuse, and those with English as an additional language.
